Our faculty and students interact frequently outside of the classroom. Annual events include: story telling, competitions of design of teaching materials for young children, and cheerleading, as well as the DO-DO public play and the Young Tree summer camp for 7th and 8th graders which have been getting great recognition from our community.
There are 13 full-time faculty members in the department, 11 have doctoral degree, accounting for 84.6%. Every faculty member has his/her own specialized field. They have been participating in research and evaluation of the profession of early childhood education. Since the graduate program was established, the faculty had been putting more effort in advising Masters' theses.
