The Department of Early Childhood Education (DECE) was established in August of 1992. The major goals of the department are to prepare early childhood teachers, to provide in-service educational programs for the early childhood teacher, and to promote the quality of early childhood education. The graduate program was established in 2003. Another evening graduate program for in-service personnel started in August of 2006.
